Pennsylvania man arrested for attempted murder after road rage incident in Frederick County

Maryland State Police arrested a Pennsylvania man on attempted murder and weapons charges after a road rage incident in Frederick County.

State police identified the suspect as Bryant Paradine, 37, of Littlestown, PA.

At about 7:30 a.m. Wednesday, Maryland State Troopers from the Frederick Barrack responded to the area of ​​southbound US15 at Tippin Dr. for a road rage incident with shots fired, state police said.

According to state police, officers observed gunshots fired into the passenger compartment of the victim’s vehicle, who was uninjured.

The Maryland State Crime Scene Unit responded to the scene and processed the victim’s vehicle and subsequently recovered a projectile, State Police said.

The victim called 911 and described the suspect vehicle as a brown Chevrolet SUV with Pennsylvania license plates, according to State Police.

A suspicious vehicle was identified and found parked unoccupied at a business in Thurmont, MD.

Investigators located Paradine inside the business and executed a search warrant on the vehicle, resulting in the recovery of a loaded 9mm handgun and a spent 9mm shell casing, State Police said.

Paradine is currently charged with attempted murder, use of a weapon in the commission of a felony and other related offenses.

Paradine was arrested Wednesday, transported to the Maryland State Police Frederick Barracks for processing and is now awaiting an initial appearance before a district court commissioner.
