Deaconess Illinois renames three hospitals to celebrate “new era”

SOUTHERN ILLINOIS (KFVS) – Deaconess Illinois announced the name changes of three of its hospitals on Monday.

Union County Hospital, Crossroads Community Hospital and Heartland Regional Medical Center will now be known as Deaconess Illinois Union County, Deaconess Illinois Crossroads and Deaconess Illinois Medical Center, respectively.

According to a statement, the renaming of these hospitals is a reflection of Deaconess Illinois’ dedication to its patients, community and employees, as well as a celebration of a new era in care.
