Jasper's McMillon was claimed by Miami

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (KTRE) – Former Jasper Bulldog John McMillon was claimed off waivers by the Miami Marlins on Friday.

McMillon was designated for assignment by the Royals on July 30. The Marlins acquired McMillon on Friday and he was activated by their Triple-A affiliate, the Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp.

McMillon had a 5-2 record with the Omaha Storm Chasers. McMillon had a 6.53 ERA in 30.1 innings pitched, with 35 strikeouts and 26 walks.

McMillon could pitch for the Jumbo Shrimp as early as Tuesday.
