Motorcyclist dies in crash in north Phoenix

PHOENIX (AZ family) — A man has died after crashing his motorcycle overnight in north Phoenix.

Phoenix police said the single-vehicle crash happened around 4:40 a.m. near Cave Creek and Hatcher roads. Officers at the scene found a man with serious injuries.

The man was hospitalized but later died from his injuries, police said.

Cave Creek Road is closed in both directions while detectives investigate the crash. There is no estimated time for the road to reopen.
