If it continues on its current path, PTC4 is expected to strengthen into a tropical depression or storm before making landfall. Next on the list is Debby.

The system is expected to enter the Gulf on Saturday.

Impacts such as heavy rains and the possibility of flash flooding will begin early in the Florida peninsula and could make landfall on Florida’s west coast as early as Sunday.

The threat from Alabama west to Louisiana remains very low.
