Car accident in Geauga County, Ohio; building causes fire

MUNSON TOWNSHIP, Ohio (WJW) — A car crashed into a building in Geauga County on Saturday, causing the building to catch fire, local fire officials confirmed.


It happened near the intersection of U.S. Route 322 and Bass Lake Road, sparking the fire, Chardon Fire Capt. John Blauch said.

At least two people suffered serious injuries, county officials confirmed to the FOX 8 I-Team.

A medical helicopter was called to the scene, as well as mutual aid from multiple jurisdictions, Blauch said.

The state fire marshal and a county fire investigation unit are also on the way, county officials confirmed.
