Obituary for Larry Overly, Southington, Ohio

SOUTHINGTON, Ohio (MyValleyTributes) – Larry Overly, 67, on Wednesday evening, July 3, 2024, earned his wings with his family by his side at his residence.

Larry was born on April 13, 1957 in Warren, Ohio, the son of the late John and Joyce Overly.

He started his own business and owned and operated Overly Milk Hauling in Southington, Ohio.

He enjoyed being outdoors, whether it was fishing or mowing the lawn. He loved fixing cars, lawnmowers, and anything that needed repair. He was an avid Cleveland Browns fan. Most of all, he loved being with his family, especially his grandchildren. Larry was a kind and caring man who influenced all who were lucky enough to know him. He will be missed by many.

Larry will be deeply missed by his loving wife, Rebecca Overly, whom he married on February 25, 1978; his daughter, Lisa Overly and her fiancé Tim Nickells; his grandchildren, Leanna Overly and Christian Nickells; his siblings, Michael (Rhonda) Overly, Linda Murdoch, Judy Cadle, Connie Crosten; his sisters-in-law, Jane (Dave) Arbogast and Debbie Mundell and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Jackie Overly and his sisters-in-law, Erving and Annalee Mundell.

In accordance with Larry’s wishes, there were no visitation hours or services and arrangements were entrusted to Lane Family Funeral Homes Shafer-Winans Chapel in Cortland.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Trumbull County Animal Welfare League in Vienna in Larry’s memory.
