Small plane crash near Lock Haven on July 4th

CLINTON COUNTY, Pa. (WTAJ) — New details have been provided about a plane crash that occurred in the early morning hours of July 4 that State Police say left one person dead.

Pennsylvania State Police said a 17-year-old girl was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash, which occurred around 10:30 a.m.


According to the FFA, a single Cessna 172 crashed in a small wooded area.

Only the pilot was reported to be on board. The FAA and the National Transportation Safety Board will conduct an investigation.
