Bret Bielema will lead the seventh-inning stretch at Wrigley

Bret Bielema is about to take the mic.

Illinois’ head coach will conduct the seventh inning stretch at Tuesday’s Cubs-Phillies game at Wrigley Field, according to a news release.

First pitch for Illini Night at Wrigley is at 7:05 pm

Illinois legend Howard Griffith will throw out the ceremonial first pitch.

Bielema will also attend a free pregame party at the Budweiser Brickhouse Tavern at 4 pm

It won’t be Illinois’ only appearance this year at Wrigley — the Illini will close the regular season against Northwestern in the Friendly Confines on Nov. 30.
