Dunkin’ opens its 4,000th next-generation donut shop in Jacksonville

A popular national coffee and donut chain will celebrate the grand opening of its 4,000th “Next Generation” store on Tuesday in Jacksonville.

Dunkin’ at 3635 Philips Highway promises an enhanced customer experience through modern design and innovative technology showcasing its menu of freshly made donuts, sandwiches, wraps, bagels, muffins, coffee, espresso and SPARKD’ energy drinks.

The Canton, Massachusetts-based restaurant chain lists the new nearly 2,000-square-foot restaurant as its 33rd in Jacksonville.

It is Jacksonville’s newest donut shop, which also features the iconic The Donut Shoppe, Parlor Doughnuts, Old Soul Donut Company, Mochinut and Cinotti’s Bakery in Jacksonville Beach.

Dunkin’ announced the grand opening in a press release highlighting next-generation features such as:

  • Modern design: The openness, colors and materials used in the store aim to help create an accessible, positive and energetic environment.
  • Premium Pours: Dunkin’s signature cold brews are served through “an innovative tap system that serves eight constantly cold beverages, including coffees, iced teas, cold brew, and nitro-infused cold brew.” Espresso machines are used to prepare craft beverages to order.
  • Greater energy efficiency: The restaurant is designed to meet the company’s DD Green Achievement specifications. Establishments with that rating are built with “sustainable and efficient elements such as LED lighting, high-efficiency mechanical equipment, low-flow faucets and more.” Dunkin’ said they are, on average, 33 percent more energy efficient than conventional Dunkin’ restaurants.
  • Dunkin’ on demand: The restaurant features a dedicated mobile order pickup area so customers who order ahead through the Dunkin’ app can get in and out of the restaurant faster than in the past.

“We are very proud of the long-standing relationships we have built serving our customers and the community in the surrounding area,” Dunkin’ franchisee Sam Patel of Rima & Raj, LLC said in the news release. “As we celebrate the grand opening of the 4,000th Next Gen store, we look forward to continuing to expand our presence here in the Jacksonville area and enhance the guest experience.”
