Stolen vehicles, criminal damage – Chicago Tribune

The following items were taken from Park Ridge Police reports. An arrest does not constitute a guilty plea.

Criminal defacement

A Park Ridge Park District employee found graffiti on the bathroom mirror at Hinkley Park, 25 N. Busse Hwy, on June 8 at 5:36 p.m.

An unknown offender defaced the Hinkley Park bathrooms with spray paint on June 16 at approximately 10 p.m.

Motor vehicle theft

An unknown offender stole personal property from a locked 2000 Toyota Camry in the 1300-1400 block of Francis Parkway between June 2 at 5 pm and June 5 at 9 am. The offender also left some of his belongings in the vehicle, police said.

An unknown offender broke into a 2022 Ford pickup truck and stole personal property in the 500-600 block of South Home Avenue during the evening of June 14.

An unknown offender broke into a 2014 Chevy Cruze and stole personal items while it was parked in the owner’s driveway in the 900-1000 block of Broadway Avenue on June 15 at 2:48 am. The incident was captured on a neighbor’s security camera.

An unknown offender stole personal property from a locked 2018 Hyundai Tucson parked in the owner’s driveway in the 400 block of North Prospect Avenue overnight on June 15.

An unknown offender stole personal property from an unlocked 2022 Nissan Altima in the 300 block of Courtland Avenue between June 15 at 4 p.m. and June 16 at 9 a.m.

An unknown offender stole personal property from a locked 2015 Hyundai Tucson while it was parked in the owner’s driveway overnight on June 15 in the 300 block of South Crescent Avenue.

An unknown offender smashed the rear window of a 2002 Chevy Cargo work truck and stole numerous tools overnight on June 18 in the 1000-1100 block of Hamlin Avenue.

An unknown offender broke the driver’s side window of a 2023 Ford Transit van and stole tools on June 19 at approximately 3 a.m. in the 200-300 block of Meacham Avenue. The incident was captured on a security camera.

Criminal damage to property

An unknown offender broke the front window of a business at 32 Main Street during the night of June 14.

An unknown offender threw rocks at a sliding glass door, causing it to break, sometime between June 14 and June 17 in the 1800-1900 block of Prospect Avenue.

Theft of $500 and less

An unknown offender stole an unlocked black Mongoose BMX-style bicycle from the bike rack located near the Centennial Pool at 100 S. Western Ave. on June 14 sometime between 5 p.m. and 8:30 p.m.

A victim fell asleep at Mariano’s at 1900 S. Cumberland Ave. on June 19 between 6 pm and 9:30 pm. When he woke up, he noticed his Samsung Galaxy cell phone was missing and believes it was stolen by an unknown criminal.

Resisting arrest

A 24-year-old Park Ridge man was arrested for issuing a warrant and resisting arrest in the 300 block of South Northwest Highway on June 17 at 7:48 am.

Traffic violations

A 31-year-old Park Ridge man was arrested for driving with a suspended license, operating a motor vehicle without insurance and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident in the 400 block of South Northwest Highway on June 18 at 6:32 p.m

A 31-year-old Park Ridge man was arrested for DUI with alcohol, operating a motor vehicle without insurance and speeding more than 35 mph over the limit in the 2200 block of West Devon Avenue on June 20 at 10:56 p.m.

A 29-year-old Waukegan man was arrested for driving without a license in a vehicle with a suspended registration at 2600 West Dempster Street on June 22 at 12:13 am.

A 35-year-old Des Plaines man was arrested for driving with a suspended driver’s license and covering his license plate at the intersection of Oakton Street and Busse Highway on June 23 at 4:06 p.m.

A 21-year-old Park Ridge man was arrested for going 26 to 34 mph over the speed limit in the 1100 block of Dee Road on June 23 at 7:40 p.m.
