North Carolina house fire kills seven dogs in Charlotte

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) – Seven dogs died in a house fire that broke out Wednesday night in north Charlotte, the Charlotte Fire Department confirmed Thursday.

The Charlotte Fire Department responded around 9:15 p.m. to a working structure fire in the 1500 block of Clooney Lane, near Rumple Road. Firefighters reported that intense fire was visible from the two-story house.

CFD video shows the front of the house completely charred, with two cars parked in the driveway also damaged.

It took 30 firefighters to control the fire in 30 minutes. There were no injuries among civilians or crews.

The cause of the fire was considered accidental due to an electrical problem in the garage.
