Marta O'Brien has been sharing her knowledge of Toronto's architecture and history for eighteen years. She has created and presented tours and illustrated lectures for historical societies, cultural organizations, and private groups.

Marta also teaches architectural history courses that she has developed for the University of Toronto, Ryerson University, and George Brown College. Her degrees in architecture and environmental studies (concentrating on cities) provide the foundation for her ongoing research into the architecture and history of Toronto and beyond.

As a volunteer member of the Heritage Toronto Board of Directors, Marta serves on the Plaques & Markers committee.
